As of Oct one, 2021, individuals will need a Real ID or an alternative form of identification to enter federal facilities in Mississippi. The Real ID Act was handed by Congress in 2005 in reaction to the nine/11 terrorist assaults, aiming to enhance the security of state-issued identification cards.
